Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL), Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan is a public sector institution funded by the Government of Sindh and Higher Education Commission Islamabad, Pakistan. The establishment of the university is a visionary initiative attributed to the efforts of the former Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, who recognized the need for accessible and quality higher education in underprivileged areas like Lyari.

BBSUL stands as a symbol of hope and empowerment for the youth of Lyari and surrounding regions. The university is dedicated to providing quality higher education in a nurturing, inclusive, and progressive academic environment. Its mission is to transform students especially those from underserved backgrounds into confident, skilled, and responsible citizens of Pakistan.

With the support of experienced permanent, Contractual and visiting faculty, BBSUL maintains a strong focus on academic excellence, personal growth, and professional development. The university offers a range of academic programs across various faculties and disciplines, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education.

To encourage and support talented students, particularly female students, BBSUL offers financial assistance in the form of stipends, aiming to reduce economic barriers and promote equal educational opportunities.
