On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi, Vice Chancellor of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL), visited the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT) at the Chakiwara Lyari Karachi. The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by the Registrar, and the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of BBSUL. The engineering wing also there. Upon arrival, Dr. Mazhar Ali, Chairman of the Department, along with faculty members and administrative staff, warmly welcomed the esteemed Vice Chancellor. After reviewing the department's facilities and challenges, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mehdi instructed the relevant authorities to address the issues and ensure the provision of necessary resources for the department’s improvement. To mark the occasion and promote environmental awareness, the Vice Chancellor planted a tree within the department premises. The visit concluded with a note of appreciation from Dr. Mazhar Ali, who expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for his time, guidance, and commitment to enhancing the academic and infrastructural quality of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology.
